Who We Are

Hello! I’m Alex — owner of Busy Boots Play Co., a pediatric occupational therapist, mama to a curious 2-year-old boy, and wife to a hardworking blue-collar husband. Here at Busy Boots Play Co. I’ve blended therapy know-how with everyday family life to create purposeful play that helps little bodies and big imaginations grow.

I’ve wanted to open a business combining therapy and play for years, but couldn’t figure out the way to go about it—until I had my son. He’s obsessed with tractors and digging! What better sensory experience is there than digging in sand?

But sand is messy, and nobody wants to clean it up after a party. That’s where Busy Boots Play Co. comes in. We bring the sensory sand experience to your event, complete with themed toys, therapeutic play elements, and kid-tested fun. When the party’s over, we pack up and go—no mess, no stress, just big smiles and tired little hands.
